How We Train Our Caregivers

Structured, competency-based training and a documented operating standard behind every visit.

Every True Dignity Care caregiver receives structured training in safety, dignity, dementia care and clear reporting. The curriculum runs 45 hours across eight modules, and each module ends with an exam and a practical sign-off.

Why it matters

One training system, three reasons it matters

For families

You should know what stands behind the person coming into your home. Our caregivers are trained to one written standard that covers safety, dignity, abuse prevention, dementia care and incident reporting.

For workforce boards, colleges and agencies

The curriculum, exams, sign-off sheets and facilitator guide are written so another organization can run them. They are built to be used beyond True Dignity Care.

For caregivers

You know from the start what you will learn, how you will be assessed, and how your completion is recorded. We offer competitive pay and career paths.

How training works

Taught by doing, and checked before sign-off

Instruction

Facilitated lecture and discussion for each unit, with learning objectives stated up front.

Skill labs

Hands-on practice and role-play. Every lab is observed and errors are corrected on the spot.

Case studies

Realistic scenarios that test judgment, not only memory.

Assessment

A written exam and a practical sign-off for every module. Missed items are reviewed and retested.

Completion is recorded, not assumed

A training completion record tracks each caregiver's hours, exam scores and practical results for every module. A True Dignity Care Certificate of Completion is issued only after every module is signed off, and any missed hours are made up first.

The system behind the training

Seven operating standards keep care consistent

Training teaches the skills. These written standards govern how care is arranged, supervised, documented and escalated, so every visit follows the same rules.

  • Client Intake Assessment
  • Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adult Policy
  • QA and Audit Checklist
  • Caregiver Scheduling
  • Client Visit Oversight
  • Risk Management and Safety Workflow
  • Caregiver Competency and Evaluation Framework

Supporting forms include incident reports, a home hazard report, care plans, supervisory visit notes and training completion records.

Work with us

Train with True Dignity Care

Caregivers are partners here. We offer competitive pay and career paths, and train every caregiver to the same standard.

Built to be adopted

Designed to be used beyond True Dignity Care

The training and operating documents are written by role, not by person, and do not require any particular software. An agency, community college or workforce program can adopt them, then add its own requirements.

Written by role

Each standard describes what a role does and who is accountable, so it works in any organization.

Ready to deliver

A facilitator guide sets class size, materials, records and a delivery checklist. We recommend a registered nurse or other qualified professional review the clinical modules before first delivery.

Adapted to local rules

Each user checks their own state's training hours, CPR and first aid rules, mandated reporting and funder requirements, then adds them.
